Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (1630β1680) was the founder of the Maratha Empire in India and is revered as one of the greatest warriors and rulers in Indian history. He was born on February 19, 1630, in the Shivneri Fort, Maharashtra. His mother, Jijabai, played a crucial role in shaping his values and vision, while his father, Shahaji Bhosale, was a military leader in the Deccan.
